I'm a registered architect in NSW (including Class 2 buildings) with experience working on health and educations projects. For the past five years I've focused on commercial fit-outs and residential alterations/additions and new builds in Greater Sydney. I'm interested in community development, urban planning, and sustainable design.

Looking around our beautiful new space we are so grateful to Mits for helping us achieve all that we have with our renovation. It was a pleasure to work with Mits on our new house. He acknowledged the clear brief I had developed but at the same time made both creative and practical suggestions to improve the design solution. He also understood and supported me through the challenges I had as an owner-builder. The appropriate question is always, "would we engage him again", the response is a resounding, "absolutely".

Our house is in an ecovillage with higher sustainable building standards requiring a minimum 7.0 NatHERS rating. Our design solution was a reverse brick veneer concept utilising a ground floor slab with hebel in both the first level floor and in all external walls. Double glazed UPVC windows added to the energy efficiency and an 8.1 rating was achieved. Colorbond cladding and roof, combined with galvanised roof outriggers and carport, minimised future maintenance.

The finished house exceeds our expectations for liveability and energy performance. There are no design features that we would change. It will definitely be our forever home.

We had a great experience working with Mits on our renovation project (adding a storey to our existing home). He helped us design our dream home and we could not be happier with the end result.
He stayed true to our initial requirements: building a more sustainable home while keeping as much as the old house as possible.
